Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve made a post. The reason behind this is because I have been very busy with school and focused on doing other things. I’ve also wanted to change the look and design of my page. I finally got a chance to do all of this (although still not done). Anyways, I’ll leave that to another post since I don’t want to bore you, but expect a lot more content!
So why did I start journaling?
There’s been constant hype around this topic for a while now. I often hear people recommending it, saying how great and beneficial journalism is to implement into your lifestyle, which can be a total game changer. Everyone was saying that it was a healthy addition to your routine and a form of self-care. I didn’t really think too much of it; I just brushed it off and was like, “oh whatever, that’s cool.” Until a couple days ago, when I finally realized how amazing it actually is and discovered its full potential.
I started journaling because I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately – I just have endless ideas, plans, and thoughts about different topics. I usually just have endless racing thoughts throughout the day and at times, I’ll have periods where I’m just on full-nonstop-brainstorm mode where my mind is flowing with ideas that are too fast for me to even process, which can be overwhelming but also motivating.
There are times where I’ve randomly had some amazing ideas that are super creative where i’ll figure out an entire plan in my head. I didn’t want to lose any more ideas and forget any more of my thoughts about different topics and life in general. That’s what motivated to start writing everything down. I didn’t get a physical journal or fancy app; I just used used the notes app on the iphone which is pretty quick and efficient, and started writing out my thoughts. I also used the dictation on the keyboard to speak out my thoughts instead of writing them out; it’s a lot faster and nice to hear them out loud.
This was a perfect way for me to let out all the ideas and creativity, instead of having them running around in my head. I feel like it’s a good way to really feel “there” with yourself, and is a great addition to any routine. Sometimes, you just need to take that time for yourself, so that you can think, reflect, and analyze anything that is on your mind. Who knows what kind of ideas you may have that you can bring to life. You really don’t know something until you start doing it.

I loved reading this post! I agree that journaling really helps us in I guess, every aspect of our life. It makes us think and reflect about literally anything and I think it’s just healthy for us too if we take a moment to sit down, chill and write our thoughts. 😊 Thank you for sharing this! Keep safe! 💕✨
